I never bought the game and only played it momentarily with the Gamefly rental service because no other games I was interested in had available copies. Looks like Dynasty Warriors finally caught up with early Tomb Raider games.
DYNASTY WARRIORS GUNDAM 3 PC ONE2UP PLUS
In a series about slaying a thousand plus soldiers in a few minutes, two of the selling points of the game were the "ability" to climb ladders and swim. Then I read the reviews - DW6 is bad by most fans standards. It was around this time that my interest in the series waned - I clearly saw what Koei/Omega Force was doing with the series and I've spent more than enough hours in 3 other games to have my fill. Kingdom Under Fire 2 is still in development as of 2017, so I don't know if that is trueĪ VAST majority of this list will be of Koei Tecmo published games - hopefully there are others that I've either forgot about or that you can point me to. Unfortunately, we may never see another developer/publisher get a chance to make a proper "spirtual successor"/evolution to this genre - I remember reading somewhere that Koei Tecmo somehow owns the "right" over large crowd brawlers - which may be why you don't see more games like Nintey Nine Nights, Sengoku Basara, and Drakengard. Even as somebody who enjoys some of these games, I recognized that most of them have a certain lack of quality or evolution to the genre. However, Dynasty Warriors not only made the genre semi-popular, but were somehow able to succesfully re-release the same story and barely different game mechanics or almost literally "different coats of paint". (WIP) Being a lone entity defeating large amounts of enemies single-handedly in melee combat isn't new to the 3D/PS2 era, games like Gauntlet and Growl come to mind. If your looking for a good Multiplayer game if your really bored, then this game is for you.Crowd Brawlers (or Games like the Dynasty Warriors series)

except for the Unicorn Gundam which set new standards for BROKEN mechanics! You can SPAM your Musou Attack and stay in NT-D Mode for the ENTIRE GAME! Unfortunately, the game was obviously rushed, and it's DLC isn't really worth it unless your a hardcore fan of those specific units. Now for the units, quite a huge cast of characters, which would be fantastic. Not everyone is for Multiplayer, some prefer Single player, and Namco Bandai Games really really dropped the ball on that one. Its clear all the focus went into the Multiplayer, with online battles, lobbies, and team battles. Single Player consists of a Story Mode with mixed characters and. The game is very unbalanced in terms of content. Then I heard about Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3. Anyway, it had great atmosphere and content that will always bring me back.

It's units were very balanced and you never felt that one could easily overpower the other. Multiplayer allowed you to be in massive wars that were very time consuming. It had GREAT Single Player content that gave you a lot to do.
DYNASTY WARRIORS GUNDAM 3 PC ONE2UP HOW TO
This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.ĭynasty Warriors Gundam 2 was a great example on how to mix two great series into one. Significantly improved from the first two DWG, this is the most time I've logged on a game since the heat of COD:BO's first days online, and it is well worth the price of admission. With a ton of classic characters and even more mobile suits, hundreds of missions, awesome gundam sound effects and only a very few things to gripe about, assuming you knew what you were getting into (assuming you read the title on the package). But if you like Dynasty Warriors and you like Gundam (come on, like it says right on the box) than you'll be very very happy with this game. It's hack and slash anime otaku all the way through for many many hours (60 so far for me, almost platinum). Games should be reviewed by people who expect to like them, as the reviews are almost exclusively used by people who are interested in buying said game. Games should be reviewed I hate the Beatles, but who would credit me anything for scoring Abbey Road 1 or 0 out of 10? I Just don't review it.
